PREMIUMS AND COLLATERAL
Premiums for immigration bonds are invariably billed at fifteen percent (15%) of the penal sum of the bond. Premium rates CAN deviate upwards or downwards based on many underwriting factors, but fifteen percent seems to be pretty universal.
Collateral is ALWAYS required to support immigration bonds. Preferred forms of collateral are cash and irrevocable letters of credit, however real property and other items are also considered.
